So, we stopped at this Bric’s Belgian waffle house on Sunday. I understood we should get there before James River let out. We didn’t. None the less, we were told a “few minute wait.” Well, that was actually 35 minutes. When I mentioned something about it, I was told by the lady who I assume was the manager, “Sorry, It’s Sunday”. Really? Because it’s Sunday, a few minutes really means 35 minutes? How about the same size party that came in after us, but sat before us? Fast forward, we get our order taken 15 minutes after we sit down, and our foods came out 25 minutes later. So it took 15 minutes to eat, asked our waitress 3 times for a water refill before we got one. I heard our waitress tell another disappointed table that the owners were out of town on vacation, and he usually keeps the food line going. Well note to owners: Staff not ready to ride without training wheels. And yes, our waitress referred to our kid as “monkey”, but we were far more upset for obvious reasons. We should've gone to Lambert's, they are dead on and honest, with their wait time estimates, from the very beginning. HMMM, can’t say that I’ll be back.
I am sure that the waitress did not mean to use the term "hey monkey" in bad way. It's just a way to refer to a baby//small child. People call their babies 'monkey' all the freakin' time..CHILL OUT! This is a GREAT place to eat..no monkey business. ;)
On July 24, 2009 my family and I had lunch at the Ozark location. Nancy W. was our server and day manager. She brought our check to the table, looked at my 1 year old son and said, "Hey Monkey". I spoke with David Taghon General Mananger two days later. He stated that she would possibly be terminated. As of today, Nancy W. is still the day manager.
